MedQ News: Stakeholder Updates | 7-2-2025
Wishing You a Safe and Relaxing 4th of July Holiday Weekend!
This 4th of July promises to be a bit different in Cedar Rapids with fireworks now legal within the city limits on July 3rd and 4th. I have always enjoyed aerial fireworks, they are uniquely captivating, but from personal experience I know that they are dangerous and should be handled with the utmost caution.

Be safe!
UnityPoint Health - St. Luke’s and Mercy Medical Center Rank #1 and #2 Respectively in CBJ’s 2025 Best of the Corridor Recognition for Best Hospital
It comes as no surprise, and yet it is good validation, that the hospitals in the MedQuarter are top-notch!
Each year, the Corridor Business Journal conducts a survey asking subscribers and the general public to vote for the businesses that they believe are the best, so this recognition is not by a panel of judges, but by the people who know them. This year’s edition features 53 categories ranging from Best Dentist to Best Home Remodeling Company.

Congratulations to UnityPoint Health - St. Luke’s Hospital and Mercy Medical Center!
